This Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG) sight is outfitted with a red crosshair reticle that has bullet drop compensation stadia on the lower vertical hair that are specifically calibrated for 55 grain. Anti-reflection broadband fully multi-coated optics maximizes light transmission to provide bright and clear views with limited distortion. Trijicon's battery-free dual-illumination reticle system employs a tritium phosphor lamp for low-light and night targeting, as well as a fiber optic illumination that automatically adjusts reticle brightness when operating in daylight. The reticle's aiming point can be adjusted in 1/2 MOA increments, and an internal adjustment mechanism allows the ACOG to reliably hold zero. Complementing the ACOG's optical system and caliber-specific ballistic reticle is a nitrogen-filled, aluminum housing with a scratch and corrosion-resistant hard-anodized matte-black finish that provides the durability needed for reliable performance in a wide range of shooting conditions. 4.9° angle of view.
